April 2nd, 3rd, & 4th, 2004
The fifth Cinema Wasteland Movie and Memorabilia Expo was the first time we held two shows the same year, and I wanted to make the first CW Spring Show something special for all of the fans who ask us to start a second show the past couple of years. One of most well known horror movies of all time, THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE, was celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2004, so I put my ass in gear to celebrate 30 years of ‘Saw to the best of my ability. No more than five TCM cast members had ever been gathered together at any one time in the past and I was able to assemble eight cast and crew members together, not counting Jim Siedow, who passed away a few months before show time and would have been the ninth cast member to join us if he could. As a special treat for attending fans, I was able to get the three living “Leatherface” actors together for the first time ever, and added assorted cast members from TCM sequels to the mix. Sid Haig, fresh on the convention circuit after HOUSE OF A 1000 CORPSES hit big with fans, made one of his earliest convention appearances this show as well. If Cinema Wasteland Shows weren't doing right by the fans before, this show put us over the top and remains a favorite show to many of the attendees who have told us that same thing to this very day.
Guests for our fifth CW show included:
