The Herman Cohen Classic Horror Double Feature - A double dose of 50s horror from writer/producer Herman Cohen starts off with one of the most unforgettable films a kid could find on late night TV back in the day. Everyone loves to read about grisly murders, so crime reporter Michael Gough provides London with its fair share of gruesome deaths. Then he benefits from the first hand knowledge of the crimes when he writes them up for the newspapers and his own books in HORRORS OF THE BLACK MUSEUM. THE HEADLESS GHOST... Well, not nearly as much fun as the first film, but fans of semi-boring British horror comedies might get a kick out of it. Three teenagers meet ancient British ghosts in a haunted castle and get chased around by a floating head. Yep, like I said. Not nearly as much fun as HORRORS, but hey, consider it a free-be on the same DVD and you’ll be A-OK. DVD

Here’s another double dose of creepy classics from producer Val Lewton. Frances Dee is a nurse who witnesses the strange power of voodoo while working in the West Indies in director Jacques Tourneur’s I WALKED WITH A ZOMBIE. In THE BODY SNATCHER, Boris Karloff is a grave robbing ghoul that delivers bodies to doctor Henry Daniell. Bela Lugosi shows up as well, and Robert Wise directed. What happens when you team up producer Val Lewton with horror icon Boris Karloff? You get two creepy, atmospheric horror films guaranteed to please, that’s what! Karloff shares a quarantined house with several other strangers on the plague infested ISLE OF THE DEAD; while the Bethlehem Asylum in 1761 London is the setting for BEDLAM, where Karloff puts in a great performance as the doomed overseer of the asylum’s inmates. This is a “cut-out” DVD. Still in its original shrink wrap, but the UPC code has a mark through it. Now out of print DVD.

A double dose of trash Drive-In cinema. In MONSTER A GO-GO, a film started by Bill Rebane and finished by H.G. Lewis, an astronaut turns into a ten foot tall monster that attacks teens, stalks sunbathers, and strangles scientists until the military decides to finally do something to stop him. In PSYCHED BY THE 4-D WITCH innocent little Cindy becomes possessed by the sex-crazed spirit of a Salem witch and suffers through lots of LSD-style psychedelic effects. SATAN’S BLACK WEDDING (1975) and CRIMINALLY INSANE (1975) - Best known for grim and gritty soft sex features shot in the 60s and 70s, director Nick Phillips put his feet into horror and exploitation territory twice in 1975 and came up with two cult classics in the process. In SATAN’S BLACK WEDDING Mark heads off to the left coast after the sudden death of his sister. He learns that she was researching a book about Satanism and spent lots of time at an abandoned church outside of town. Mark finds out she’s still there and Satan has plans for him as well. In the cult classic CRIMINALLY INSANE, 300 pound “Crazy Fat Ethel” Janowski has just been released from a mental institution to live with her grandmother. After grandma locks away the food so Ethel will stop stuffing her face, she murders the old lady. It isn’t long before Ethel becomes a killer who won’t let anybody come between her and her stomach... But what is she going to do with the bodies that are starting to pile up in the spare bedroom?...
