Blood of Ghastly Horror (1965 to 1971)
SKU: dvdbloodghastly
Jewel thieves are using a Viet Nam war vet with a transmitter implanted in his skull to steal stuff for them… Or something like that anyway. With Kent Taylor, John Carradine, Regina Carrol, and ex-Disney star Tommy Kirk. An amazingly incoherent mess of a movie even by director Al Adamson’s standards this thing started out as Psycho-A-Go-Go in 1965. New scenes were shot and added in 1971 and it was once again released as Fiend With the Electric Brain. Even more scenes were filmed and added in 1971 (hence our dates listed after the movie title) and the title was once again changed to Blood of Ghastly Horror. It’s a drive-in clunker that needs to be seen to be believed! Now out of print DVD.

Double Feature: Cornbread, Earl and Me (1974) and Cooley High (1975)
SKU: dvddfcornbread
“Cornbread” is a promising high school basketball player who has what it takes to get out of the ghetto. He’s mistaken for a rapist and gunned down in cold blood by two cops who attempt to cover up the accident. Cornbread’s little brother Wilford (Lawrence Fishburn in his first feature film), and his buddy Earl man it up to expose the cops actions in CORNBREAD, EARL AND ME. COOLEY HIGH is a coming of age story-comedy-drama-sort-of-flick. It’s 1964 and JFK has just been assassinated. Martha and the Vandells, The Four Tops, and Stevie Wonder were topping the charts. And two buddies - Preach, a serious-minded writer, and his best buddy Cochise, a hero on the basketball court who’s heading off to college - discover themselves, along with freedom as they grow into adults, for the first times in their lives. Double Feature: Horrors of the Black Museum (1959) & The Headless Ghost (1959)
SKU: dvddfhorrorsheadless
The Herman Cohen Classic Horror Double Feature - A double dose of 50s horror from writer/producer Herman Cohen starts off with one of the most unforgettable films a kid could find on late night TV back in the day. Everyone loves to read about grisly murders, so crime reporter Michael Gough provides London with its fair share of gruesome deaths. Then he benefits from the first hand knowledge of the crimes when he writes them up for the newspapers and his own books in HORRORS OF THE BLACK MUSEUM. THE HEADLESS GHOST... Well, not nearly as much fun as the first film, but fans of semi-boring British horror comedies might get a kick out of it. Three teenagers meet ancient British ghosts in a haunted castle and get chased around by a floating head. Yep, like I said. Not nearly as much fun as HORRORS, but hey, consider it a free-be on the same DVD and you’ll be A-OK. DVD
